EXPECTING PARENTS

EXPECTING A BABY?

Congratulations! Having a baby is one of the most special and rewarding times of your life.

Choosing a pediatrician to care for your child is a very important decision. Our team looks forward to the privilege of partnering with you to provide quality and personalized care to your child.

The following information will help you as you prepare for the exciting arrival of your baby.

  • Meet and Greet Information

Family First Pediatrics offers complimentary prenatal appointments. This is a great opportunity for expectant parents to meet our providers, discuss any questions or concerns they may have, and take a brief tour of our office. To set up an appointment, call us at 407-335-4760.

  • Who will see my baby in the hospital?

If you are delivering at AdventHealth Winter Park, Altamonte Springs, or Orlando, please tell the hospital staff you have chosen Family First Pediatrics as your child’s pediatrician, and you would like Dr. Selsky to admit your baby. The hospital will notify our office of your baby’s birth and Dr. Selsky will visit you and examine your newborn in the hospital. If he is unavailable for any reason, a qualified hospital physician can complete the exam.

  • When should I schedule my baby's first appointment?

We see your family 2-3 days after being discharged from the hospital. You can pre-register with our office, then call our office at 407-335-4760 to schedule your first appointment.

  • When will my baby receive vaccines?

Dr. Selsky and Family First Pediatrics understand and strongly support the scientifically based principles of immunization practice that protects not only the child but also the community from potential deadly infections. We are happy to discuss these principles with our families. We follow the immunization schedule recommended by the American Academy of Pediatrics and the Center for Disease Control (CDC).
